Aberrant Plexus Opening Night

[CLASSIFIED – CLEARANCE ALPHA]

The quarantined east wing of the Institute for Psychogametous Life (Sector 4) will reopen for phased testing on November 20, 2025, under controlled exposure protocol AP-00247-X.

The Institute affirms: risks remain within controllable thresholds.

All thresholds are part of the experiment.

The experiment is growth.

Free entry. Protective gear optional. Stability not guaranteed.

Aberrant Plexus transforms Metamorphika Studio into a living research site of the Institute for Psychogametous Life (IPGL) – a speculative laboratory investigating symbolic alien life and its effects on Earth. Conceived and directed by London-based artist Zoetica Ebb, the exhibition expands her long-running xenobiological project Alien Botany and her research into psychogametous life—theoretical organisms that reproduce by hijacking human cognition and mutating through symbolic information.

Visitors are invited to explore the abandoned Lab C of the IPGL in the aftermath of a containment breach. Interactive systems created by Ebb in collaboration with Peachthief generate a living circuit of symbiosis and transformation. On opening night, Aberrant Plexus unfolds across two floors as an immersive installation with sound by Takatsuna Mukai and performances by Laboranta, Fung Neo, and Charlie Jimenez. Japanese avant-garde author Kenji Siratori also debuts Xenopoetic Report of Arthropod Vectors, a mutagenic work extending Ebb’s conceptual world.

Blending art, science, and mythic reconstruction, Aberrant Plexus asks what happens when the boundaries between self and other begin to dissolve. Challenging ideas of individuality and human centrality, the exhibition reimagines consciousness as a shared ecosystem – an evolving network where contamination is evolution.

Zoetica Ebb (b. 1980 – ongoing biological iteration) is a London-based multimedia artist, writer, and curator whose work explores speculative biology, contamination as method, and the aesthetics of hybrid life. At the Institute for Psychogametous Life (IPGL), she develops transdisciplinary frameworks bridging art, philosophy, and xenobiology to investigate how imagery, language, and cognition can function as reproductive systems for alien intelligence.

Through projects such as Alien Botany, Chimeric Herbarium, and Aberrant Plexus, Ebb constructs living archives that blur the boundaries between organism and idea, transforming consciousness into both medium and habitat for emergent, nonhuman forms of life.

Peachthief (b. 1984, d. 2092 — whole-brain upload) is a technologist, digital sculptor, and procedural ecologist based on the Wired. Their practice operates at the intersection of digital and biological wetware, using generative and mathematical systems to coax sentience from code and animate the latent vitality of the binary.

Their projects span continents and industries, from animatronic organisms for Macy’s and Kiroshi to holographic fauna for Johnnie Walker and bioresponsive installations for Apple, Burberry, Nike, Adidas, and Somerset House. Currently, Peachthief is developing autonomous robotic systems for Antarctic deep-bore glacier immobilisation and planetary algae cognition networks, extending their long-term inquiry into digital respiration and computational life.
