CHIMERIC HERBARIUM /
Coffee table art book, or a found object from the future?
Chimeric Herbarium presents Zoetica Ebb’s findings in large-format plates of detailed, stark black-and-red diagrams alongside eerie descriptions of the mysterious flora and the ways it interacts with humans – presumably other crew members of her ill-fated space mission. This sumptuous foil-stamped black tome with a field-durable five-part cover contains the complete Alien Botany art archive and a record of the new forms these plants have taken in the years since this infectious collection was discovered on Earth.
The hand-numbered, limited-edition compendium can be signed upon request, and includes two distinct sections on two types of paper, and crimson plant-based vellum accents.
With a foreword by Ryan Oakley, co-curator of The Museum of a Billion Cosmic Objects and author of Technicolor Ultra Mall, Chimeric Herbarium illuminates the cryptic world of Alien Botany.
